Culture relics that have a history of 700 years
    Wu Zhen Memorial (Plum Blossom Nunnery) is the homeland and tomb of Wu Zhen, one of the four famous painters in Yuan dynasty. It is listed as a provincial key unit of cultural relic preservation. Now, it constitutes the show hall and some exhibit halls of Wu Zhen’s works, and the tomb of Wu Zhen, plum blossom gloriette, the corridor of Bazhu stele, the pool for washing inkstone and Qianhong cabinet and etc. altogether more than 10 scenes. It is the culture relic in Jiangnan that integrates appreciation of plum blossom, painting, stele and garden.
    Wu Zhen (1280-1354), named Zhonggui, called plum blossom Taoist, plum Taoism, plums`r man and etc. from Weitang, Jiashan. Wu Zhen lives a life of reclusion for all life and is good at painting the theme of privacy. He will make poem for every painting and be called “three best”of poem, painting and calligraphy by his contemporaries. At the height of splendor of paintings in Yuan dynasty, the works of Wu Zhen take unique style and feature, typically reflecting all the cultural qualities of ancient Chinese paintings. Wu Zhen has irreplaceable value and significance in Chinese painting history.
